As blocks of lava tumbled down the Cumbre Vieja volcano — some as huge as a home — red-hot lava streams hardened and caked over the village of La Laguna in Los Llanos de Aridane on Thursday on Spain’s La Palma island.
Residents of La Laguna have been evacuated Wednesday night because the lava stream grew to become dangerously shut.
For the reason that first eruption started on Sept.19, rivers of red-hot lava have engulfed virtually 800 hectares of land, destroying about 2,000 buildings and plenty of banana plantations.
Greater than 6,000 individuals have needed to depart their houses.
