There’s one other piece to the local weather change puzzle that Canadians should confront.
Few nations on the planet have permafrost, however Canada has 4 million sq. kilometres of it.
Hotter temperatures within the Arctic are thawing permafrost – which accounts for 40 per cent of this nation’s floor.
And that massive soften is releasing carbon that has been locked away for hundreds of years. Not solely that – life is being disrupted in these distant northern communities.
