Abbotsford police are urging residents to comply with town’s evacuation order, including that failure to take action is placing a pressure on sources as they cope with ongoing catastrophic flooding.
“That is altering so shortly that you could be assume you’re okay in a single minute and, actually, half an hour later you’ll see a change in water ranges,” says Chief Mike Serr.
Torrential rain has drenched a lot of British Columbia on Monday and Sunday as an atmospheric river descended on the province.
Nonetheless, Abbotsford Mayor Henry Braun stated flooding in Abbotsford was coming from the Nooksack river within the U.S., which spilled its banks on Monday inflicting historic flooding.
He stated town is just not receiving sufficient data from the U.S. to know when the floodwaters will cease inundating town.
