Police have made a number of arrests as they cleared out protesters and automobiles blockading the Windsor, Ont. Ambassador Bridge, however the bridge was not but open to visitors on Sunday.
Dozens of vans, vehicles, pickups and vans have blocked visitors in each instructions at Canada’s busiest border crossing to the U.S. for a number of days. By Sunday morning, the vans and remaining protesters had been greeted by a heavy police presence, with greater than 50 automobiles, together with cruisers, buses and an armoured automotive.
The demonstrators are a part of the so-called “Freedom Convoy” that’s protesting COVID-19 vaccine mandates and quarantine guidelines for cross-border truck drivers. Sean O’Shea has the story.
