(15 Jul 2021) China’s authorities on Thursday rejected U.S. accusations of compelled labor in Xinjiang and accused Washington of wounding world commerce after U.S. lawmakers endorsed import curbs on merchandise from the area.

My understanding is that the US and possibly Israel have been radicalizing the Uyghers with ISIS style Islam since 2008 at least. Similar to what was done in Chechnya to give Russia problems. That said, I don't think I could ever support the extreme measures they've taken. It's too bad NATO is more interested in East Turkistan as they call it, than the actual people stuck in the middle.
