MOI launches online system to verify eligibility for referendum voting

TAIPEI (The China Put up) — The Ministry of Inside (MOI, 內政部) introduced on Monday that has launched a web based platform for the general public to simply test whether or not or not they’re eligible to vote on this 12 months’s referendum.

In keeping with the MOI, from Aug. 10 to Aug. 12, the general public merely must insert their ID quantity and birthday to test whether or not they’re eligible to vote or not.

As well as, Taiwanese residents can head to their district family registration workplace to test if they’re on the voter registration record.

If there’s any error, they will instantly apply to the workplace for correction to guard their rights and pursuits, the MOI stated.

The nationwide referendum was initially scheduled for Aug. 28 this 12 months however was later postponed to Dec. 18 as a result of pandemic scenario in Taiwan.
