Gods wrath spreads upon Canada
Bene👍
Wow. Well done MOTI
I’m going to get my Son in 100 mile regardless
That's an amazing level of recovery for the highways. Well done.
Well done to everyone involved! Very impressive!
Minster Popham said buy BC. I ran a business in Victoria, BC for 30 years, I could successfully sell my software products in all other Provinces in Canada, except BC, where my own Province preferred to buy American.
Unreal progress, it would never happen without diesel and gasoline ev construction gear has a way to go.
Dont make what Kiewit did to reconstruct these highways as something extraordinary !!Why you say??
Well it was a very straight forward task with not much thinking to do. Placing materials and compacting it is not hard. All the materials needed were close at hand and they had enough equipment to move it and place it. Also they had full control of the job. Govt F’d right off and let them fly at it.
The Ministry of Transportation needs to fill and fix the multitude of nasty potholes on the Hope Princeton highway before they fully open the highway to the public. Many vehicles are currently having two or more flat tires while traveling this highway, unnecessarily stranding motorists and comprising public safety and the safety of snowplow and tow truck operators who need to assist motorist with flat tires. The Ministry of Transportation should hire an adequate number of paving contractors, shut down the highway for a few hours and fill these unacceptable potholes and exceedingly rough surface areas before they open the Hope Princeton to the general public. Most of these potholes and exceedingly rough areas have been in this state for years and have been made worse from all the recent commercial truck traffic. Filling these tire and vehicle damaging potholes is to big of a job to be done safely or properly by the winter snow plow crews with the highway open to traffic.
What a crock of 💩.
Safe for Semi's safe for Buses , then its safe for us all .
control control control.
Well the Highway is still running where it shouldn’t of been built according to Geologist and Engineers. Still what does the Government know they are not specialists in anything.
“The flat floor of the Boston Bar Creek valley was identified as a better route than following than following Coquihalla River’s steep and narrow upper gorge; however the Coquihalla route also meant an increased risk from flood and avalanches that had to be overcome”
Here is the extra work that had to be done for the Coquihala Route.
An incredible eight avalanche dams, 19 containment basins, two diversion trenches and three sets of avalanche benches were built in addition to the massive Great Bear Snowshed, to protect the highway..
climate change global warming the atmosphere holding way more moisture this is the new normal so what are you going to do next year? How many times are you going to rebuild these roads? How much money? Flooding road washed out is going to be normal until one day we are all told this area of the world is inhabitable. I can actually see this future as British Columbia will be bankrupt
It will only be safe if drivers learn to drive.Ther will be a few pileups at Caroline mine excit.they come down that hill at 150km after already burning off their brakes good luck slowing down at the bridge.
Well we only have a couple busses haha
Did he actually use the phrase build back better???? COME ON MAN!!!
Why do they keep saying "build back better"? Do they not realize that was Biden's campaign slogan?
Vaxxers I'm leaving OUR vax group think. Had 2 and I'm done. Not getting any more. I'm with the conspiracy theorist now.
New Years resolution is no more jabs.
Should have researched beforehand, that was my mistake.
I'm a lab rat but no more.
Watching Dr Peter Mc on Rogan made me realize I need to consider something other than what my social media group think tells me.
I didn't even bother to read the legal disclosure in the product insert.
I'm such a fool and a sucker.
At least I won't stay wrong.
Climate change is just beating the crap out of the West coast!
The Charlie Brown intro music was very fitting for these cartoon characters
This was one of the most fascinating news videos I've ever seen. The shear mass of this operation, and the fact they've made temporary mountainous roads shows the devastation to the infrastructure. What a monumental repair these fine heros have done, and continue to be an active part of.
Coco Halle it's going to be moving once again don't worry drug addicts
Reports & Studies: Where is the Media Watchdog?
George Abbott and Chief Maureen Chapman Co-chair
George Abbott BC Auditor General’s report into the province findings off BC Flood and Wildfires, to The Honourable John Horgan.
Studies on the dikes generally do not meet current provincial standards and none fully meet or exceed the standards.
The Lower Mainland Flood Management Reports done since 2013 were ignored by:
Premier John Horgan Horgan,. Mike Farnsworth, Highways Minister Fleming. Mayor Henry Braun of Abbotsford And the Mayors of the Lower Mainland by BC Government Auditor General, and Municipalities, the total waste of Taxpayer Money that has lead BC to this mess. Over 20 Reports, and work to be done.
When professional Engineers and Geologist are asked to produced Reports which are then totally ignored by Non professional in Government, then something is drastically wrong by Government in BC and the Local Municipalities.
One month after the floods, British Columbia remains in a state of emergency. At least one major highway system will take months to fully repair and thousands have lost their homes. Landscapes have been altered and the route of at least one major river has changed.
“When you get the Premier and Ministers saying this is a natural disaster, we’re left thinking that nature did this to us. But there are no natural disasters. Flooding is a natural hazard. We build and live and work in floodplains. We’re the ones that create disaster risk.” “The question is, how do we live with risk?”
It’s time the both Local and Provincial governments are held responsible for ignoring these Reports by Professional Engineers and geologists, this is Criminal Negligence.
Are they ready for the Big Earthquake they have been warned about in the Studies?
