Australia on Sunday criticized China for a “harmful maneuver” by a Chinese language fighter aircraft when it intercepted an Australian plane in worldwide airspace over the South China Sea late final month.
A Chinese language jet on Could 26 intercepted an Australian P-8 plane that was on “routine maritime surveillance exercise” in worldwide airspace, the Protection Division in Canberra stated in a assertion.
“The intercept resulted in a harmful manoeuvre which posed a security risk to the P-8 plane and its crew,” the division stated.
